Game graphics question

I am playing on a PS4 slim on 1080p on a RCA tv. The game doesnt look bad but sometimes it feels it doesnt look like the pictures or gameplay you see online. For example, the mane of the horses doesn't look very real Is it because it is not 4K? Does 4k actually make it look better?
